In today’s society, the topic of Father God has become taboo, and the acts of the enemy are praised. Evil is in our clothing, evil is in our music, evil is in our new way of being, and man has become lovers of themselves. Let me be clear when I say lover of themselves. You are supposed to love yourself, but I’m referring to the grandiose version which equals narcissism, using others for personal gain and abuse. We see it more frequently now than ever before. The book 48 Laws of Power speaks of using people, making others work, and taking credit. (It’s a great book, not all laws are based on manipulation, but … you just have to read it). Be aware of the games, but I don’t suggest playing them. Reaping what you sew is a real thing.
Why has our creator been shunned in today’s popular culture? The answer is simple, it isn’t God who runs this world. In scripture, the enemy tells Jesus after taking him high up on the mountains to see the world before him, and I’m paraphrasing, “I can give you all of this. All of this can be yours if you just bow down to me.” Jesus said “No”.
People also jump to the conclusion that when one mentions God, they are religious, not always the case. Religion was man-made - we worship God in spirit. God is not religion. I say read all the holy books, and never limit your knowledge, it all leads to the same God.
Whether you believe scripture to be literal or not, ask yourself, how is it that the enemy had the power to even give that offer? Power of the world? It’s because he has the power to do so. I strongly believe the movie “Devil’s Advocate” is based on this part of scripture, but that’s just my opinion and it’s also my opinion that the same offer is being given today.
Let me be clear, They’re wealthy, filthy rich people who live righteous lives. Not all people who have money and power have to sacrifice their morality to become successful by bowing down to something they’re against, not to mention, that everyone has their own version of success. It boils down to knowing when to say no, being careful of the deals you take from others, and knowing yourself.
Why does this continue? It’s because we live in a world that’s governed by that mighty dollar, everyone needs it, and if you get an offer that also has fame and power - yes, please! Also, fear. Would you choose the winning side or the losing? The issue with the side that looks to be winning is that not everything that glitters is gold. Look at most of the people who did have all the fame and power we could only imagine, What was their fate?
As an artist, I often ask myself this question, if I got an offer that gave me money, power, and fame, will I take it? Heck yeah! But if it came with the price of not being able to sleep at night, unable to look at myself in the mirror… dripped in designer, but deep down I’m depressed, I would have to walk away because I know the fate to that - drugs to escape, which was the fate of many of our greats.
To put Faith in God in your darkest hour is equivalent to the trust fall. You must trust that the creator is going to catch you. If your heart is righteousness, the creator will. Get your money, just keep your morality during the process.
"For the third test, the Devil took him to the peak of a huge mountain. He gestured expansively, pointing out all the earth's kingdoms, and how glorious they all were. Then he said, "They're yours - lock, stock, and barrel. Just go down on your knees and worship me, and they're yours." Jesus' refusal was curt: "Beat it, Satan!"
